Update your old style crawlspace entry with a NEW TURTL crawlspace door!
Maine Basement Waterproofing can install the door for you, or we can have the unit drop shipped to your house for you to install!
Installation requires the existing well to be removed.
A secure foundation for the TURTL must be established to prevent the soil under the TURTL from being compressed over time.
The foundation of the house must be cleaned from dirt and debris to create a secure and flush mounting surface for the TURTL.
The TURTL has a sleeve that slides into existing openings larger than 32" wide and 22" tall. If you do not have an existing external access to your crawlspace, one will have to be created.
A layer of tar or caulk is used to develop a waterproofing membrane between the TURTL and the foundation.
Special cement fasteners are used to permanently connect the TURTL to the house.
The soil around the TURTL is than back filled and the unit is ready for use.
The TURTL is made from thick, heavy duty plastic, similar to a kayak. Very rugged and built to last forever.
It is available in 3 colors and never needs to be painted. Available in chocolate brown, forest green and sand tan.
It will not rot like wooden crawl space doors.
It will not rust like metal crawl space doors.
It has the option to be locked with a padlock (not included).
The TURTL has optional height rings to extend the TURTL upward to stick out of the ground more. The stock height is 26.62". Height rings come in 6" increments.
Has a hinged door that is easy for anyone to use, simply lifts up towards the house.
