Finishing your basement is a great way to gain new space. It isn't free and it usually takes several weeks to convert a cement wall basement into comfortable living space. If you are planning on finishing your basement at any time in the future, it is HIGHLY recommended that you waterproof it first. One wetting event could destroy a beautiful basement space. With our system installed, you can rest easy knowing that you are protected and in good hands. Waterproofing your basement is also an excellent idea even if you decide that you don't want or need to finish your basement. With your basement waterproofed, you can now use your basement for storage safely. Our system designers are available for morning or afternoon appointments.
Leaking Floor Cracks? Seeping Wall Cracks? No problem!
We have affordable solutions for both leaking floor and wall cracks. Depending on the size and severity, most jobs are remedied within a few hours. Our highly trained system designers can go over options and costs for repair.
Existing Sump Liners
Does your basement or crawlspace have an existing sump pump? Is it in good shape? Does the pump make loud or scary noises? We can come out and show you a nicer, newer cleaner and more reliable update to this age old problem. It's better to have it looked at while it's still working. Our liners include lids to prevent moisture from evaporating in your basement space and prevent anything from falling in and obstructing the pump. A new sealed and worry-free sump liner can help with the sale of a home.
Musty smells are NOT "normal".
We understand that living in Maine, you may have the belief that a basement or crawlspace "musty" odor is normal.
Let's take a look at what normal means; the usual, average, or typical state or condition.
The reason behind this odor is mold spores.
Molds are fungi that can be found both indoors and outdoors. No one knows how many species of fungi exist but estimates range from tens of thousands to perhaps three hundred thousand or more. Molds grow best in warm, damp, and humid conditions, and spread and reproduce by making spores.
Spores are a minute, typically one-celled, reproductive unit capable of giving rise to a new individual without sexual fusion, characteristic of lower plants, fungi, and protozoans.
Allergic responses include hay fever-type symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, red eyes, and skin rash (dermatitis). Allergic reactions to mold spores are common. They can be immediate or delayed. Mold spores can also cause asthma attacks in people with asthma who are allergic to mold.
Call us to help you separate the earth from your living space and install a dehumidifier strong enough to accurately treat the air in your crawlspace or basement. Normal air should smell fresh and clear. We can help you achieve that in your home today!

Uncomfortable Crawlspace access
Do you have a exterior entrance to your crawlspace? Is it basically a rectangular opening with a piece of wood covering it? This is a sure-fire way for rodents and insects to get into your home. We install the TURTL crawlspace entry system. This is a plastic, non-rotting, comfortable and lockable entry way into crawlspaces. It never needs to be painted. It accepts a padlock for security. Helps seal up the entry point from everything including leaves, water, intruders, insects and rodents. They are available in multiple heights. 3 attractive colors to choose from; Forest green, Hershey brown and Sand Tan.
Basement and Crawlspace Insulation
We offer a variety of wall insulation for basements and crawlspace. This includes spray foam and foam board. We do not work with fiberglass or cellulose. This helps keep warm in the colder Maine months by retaining the heat as much and as long as possible. You are paying for the heat, we help you hold on to it. Heat is something that you need to pay for, don't let it escape. Our system designers are knowledgeable in how to insulate any basement or crawlspace. Cold floors are a thing of the past for our customers.
If you have an insect or rodent suspicion, it is very important to eliminate any points of entry. If you do not address this before encapsulating, you may continue to have problems. We find and seal entry points with a variety of methods to help prevent future unwanted activity.
